I love taking classes from Denise. She makes the class so much fun and gives us so much encouragement! She takes the time to show us the proper techniques, so we don’t unintentionally hurt our selves.
She shows you modifications, so the workouts are tailored to what you can do. I have been taking classes from Denise for over 2 years and I can honestly say I am in better shape now than I was in my 40’s (I am over 60).
When I first started PIYO, I absolutely hated it. I kept saying to myself: “I can’t do this, its just too hard.” But Denise kept encouraging me and I kept going back and now it is really my favorite class. I can tell I have gotten stronger and I have more definition in my body. She always says, “ you are never too old to start working out” And I thoroughly believe that!
Ditto to everything Ann just said! I also love Denise’s fitness classes! She offers such a variety of classes at various times/locations and with varying degrees of intensity so there are classes to fit everyone’s needs. My favorites are Ballet 4 Fitness and PIYO. I’ve also started taking the Zumba Strong class this past year, which is intensive and has challenged this 66-year-old gal to push herself; and it feels great!
I also enjoy the group of new friends I work out with and the accountability it provides. Classes never get boring or old because Denise is always changing things up and classes are fun!!
Living in a rural area with limited access to gyms/fitness centers, Take Shape Studio has been the perfect answer for my desire to attend fitness classes in order to get in shape and stay in shape. Thank you Denise!!

get you to the results you are wanting. I also really like the one on one attention. Denise gives to her students to make sure everyone is being safe and protecting their bodies. Working out with others at the studio is great and provides accountability that you don’t get by working out alone. Thanks Denise for many years of fitness support and for the many years to come!
I’ve been taking fitness classes from Denise for at least 3 years and I’m hooked! I prefer morning classes because it just seems to start my day off right. Denise challenges us and makes it fun at the same time. But, the main thing that keeps me coming back is how much better I feel, physically, mentally and emotionally.
I never thought at the age of 65 (almost 66; Happy Birthday to me March 30th) I would feel this strong. I also can see a huge improvement in my balance. My favorite class is PIYO, and I also enjoy Ballet 4 Fitness, Zumba Strong, and Zumba Burst.
I really appreciate the convenience of having class in Edgewood. Thank you Denise for helping me to get and stay in shape!
